Please join the Edmonton CFA Society on Saturday, February 6, 2010 for the 2nd Annual Western Canada Investment Research Challenge (Challenge). The Challenge will take place in Salon 5 of the Shaw Conference Centre from 1:00 - 3:30 PM with awards/reception to follow.
The Challenge will feature teams of undergraduate and/or graduate students from five universities (University of Alberta, University of British Columbia, University of Calgary, Simon Fraser University, and University of Victoria). Each team will present their analysis of a leading Canadian firm, Tim Hortons Inc. (THI on the TSX) and the winning team will be chosen based on the presentations and on an earlier submitted research report. The Challenge is a component of the Global Investment Research Challenge hosted by CFA Institute and the winning team will be invited to compete in the Americas Regional challenge 17-18 March 2010 in New York. Success at that event will earn the team an invitation to the Global Investment Research Challenge in Hong Kong 16-17 April 2010.
